| Year after year, Bennigan's continues to be
one of my favorite hangouts. When I was in high school I spent countless nights here with my
friends. Whenever we couldn't think of something to do, we inevitably ended up here. Located on
route 355 in Rockville, it's convenient to all my friends. This is another entry
into the themed restaurant market, Bennigan's theme is Irish-American Pub. The decor is standard americana
nostalgia, but the food is something different. The southwest eggrolls are out of this world.
My friend Daniel orders them every time we go there. The buffalo wings are tasty as well. The rest of
the appetizers are mediocre, stay away from the fried mozzarella sticks and the nachos. The
quesadillas are better than the norm. For dinner, I usually opt for a burger. The star-spangled
burger used to be Bennigan's best. Unfortunately, the management changed the menu a
while back and they cut it from the menu. The remaining burgers are still excellent. The buffalo
chicken sandwich is also a good bet. Jorge swears by the chicken strips dinner. For dessert,
I usually stick with the brownie sundae. Bennigan's also has a decent selection of draught
beer. Be careful though, the bottled beers have a tendency to be on the skunky
side. If it's on tap, I get a Pete's Summer Brew. Bennigan's is usually busy and you might have
to wait for a table. I think Bennigan's is a great place to go relax. This is one of the places
where my friends and I go to chill when we need a good meal or a cold beer.
