Clarendon Ballroom is one of the newest hotspots in Arlington. The Ballroom is hard to describe. For most of the week it's a room for rent to private parties and fundraisers. On Friday nights' it's a bar/nightclub. Whatever it is, it's a nice place. The whole space is one big room with huge 20 foot ceilings are arches everywhere. There's a gigantic bar along the side wall that makes getting a drink easy. The prices are a little steep, but not outrageous. The Ballroom is a very trendy place, i.e., everyone was dressed in black. The whole atmosphere was a little like a New York club, but without the door policy. I had a good time when I went. We started drinking at about 9 and danced some when the DJ went on at 10:30 or so. There's a coat check in the basement. Eventually there's going to be an outdoor patio on the roof. If your looking for somewhere to see and be seen looking good, this is the place.
