| Garrett's is a great bar on M and 30th in Georgetown. The Christmas lights in the
window are a welcome touch and the people are even nicer. The bar staff is all great, Stan
and Tracy work the downstairs bar. Stan always has a story and Tracy just rocks. Both of
them are nothing but smiles and friendliness as they tend bar. I usually drink Budweiser,
but they have several other things on draft. Thursday is $2 Rolling
Rock Night. It's one of the best deals in town and the place isn't that crowded. The crowd
is on the younger side, 21-25. I met several people that were interning for the government
for the summer. Most of them were living at GW University. This lends a nice college feel
to the place. Garrett's has two different levels. The first floor is a very cozy bar with
several tables and a little dining area. This is where I hang out most of the night.
Upstairs are two large rooms. Each has tables and there are two more bars. Garrett's does
serve food but I haven't had anything yet. The upstairs has a more open feel and the
people were all having a good time. This is my favorite place in Georgetown.
