| The Knickerbocker Grill is a wonderful
restaurant located in the East Village in Manhattan. Derek and I went there with three of his
high school friends. We had been walking around Manhattan all day so I was really looking
forward to dinner. The knickerbocker is a small, wood-paneled steakhouse. The special of the
house is T-Bone Steak and man is it worth the price. The 1-inch cut of beef comes on a cast
iron plate that is set on an angle to allow the juices to collect at the bottom of the plate.
Derek and I both had T-Bones and they came on the same platter. The steak was absolutely wonderful.
It was already carved off the bone but arranged to still look like a whole piece. With a side of
the best garlic mashed potatoes I've ever had and creamed spinach, the meal was absolute heaven.
The chocolate souffle for dessert capped the dinner off perfectly. I'm definitely making plans
to visit the Knickerbocker again.
